3 Quicken Essentials: The Product Which You Are Using Is Not Enabled. This can be difficult to manage, which is why the Quicken software can be a welcome addition to your computer. You can download account information from your bank, such as Bank of America, directly to the Quicken.
I use Capital One Bank. I also use Quicken 2009 and have my Capital One bank account automatically updated. A few weeks ago, I started getting messages about required upgrade steps required to make my Capital One Bank account continue working with Quicken 2009. I did both the steps before the required date, and then after. I continue to get an error message every time I try updating ANY of my accounts in Quicken 2009 which effectively, stops ANY of my accounts from updating.
I called Capital One Bank and they walked me through the steps they had on their script to fix this problem. My Capital One Bank account updates but all other checked accounts will not (e.g., Wachovia, Bank of America, etc.) The error message that pops up EVERY time and stops all updates has in the title bar 'Important message from zzz-Capital One Bank- old'. I do NOT have an account with that name.
I have looked through every account that is auto updating, I've checked everywhere, and it appears this account can't be found. It must be a remnant due to a bug. Even with ALL accounts checked to NOT auto update, this message still pops up when I hit update. So it exists somewhere in a Quicken configuration file. But I have no clue where.
It would be great to find it in a hidden file, delete it, and have all work. But I wouldn't have a clue where to look. Anyone have an idea?
I hate to export all accounts and import all accounts if I am going to lose memorized transactions or categories or anything else. And, I'm not sure that would even fix anything. I'll attach a copy of the error message to this. I don't have a Capital One account, so haven't experienced this 'upgrade'. But I wonder if you have checked your online account at Capital One.
Does Capital One have any messages waiting for you on your account Web site? I followed the Capital One links that led me to here They mention in steps 9 and 10 that you need to manually disable online billpay if you do not use it. You might want to follow these instructions regardless of whether you use it or not. Other than that, did you make a backup before this? It might be handy! Dear Gary, Thank you for contacting back.
